The Windows Project
Most of the winodows in our 1880's house were original when we
moved in: complete with ancient cracked and broken glass panes,
rotten sashes and broken pulley mechanisims. The only protection
from the elements they offered was completely accidental; all but 3
of the windows in our house were painted shut. It was a shame to
lose the original flavor, but it was time to move into the 21st
century with top-and-bottom opening windows with double-paned glass
in solid new wood frames.
The old windows below were showing their age.
