Cupcake Frosting

Adapted from InStyle, this frosting is great on cupcakes of all flavors - including Chocolate Dump-It batter poured into cupcake pans and cooked for 20 minutes!


Beat together the confectioners' sugar, butter, milk and vanilla until smooth. If the frosting seems stiff, add another tablespoon of milk. Beat in the food coloring until blended and monochromatic.


1 box (16 ounces) confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 3 drops of food coloring
